"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited.
Imagination encircles the world." — Albert Einstein
Shamanism is a practice of divination and healing. It involves the practice of reaching altered states in order to interact with the spirit world. Shamanism can treat ailments/illness by mending the soul. Alleviating traumas affecting the soul/spirit restores the physical body of the individual to balance and wholeness. One of the most popular techniques is Soul retrieval. We loose pieces of our soul when we have suffered trauma whether it's emotional, mental or physical. Sometimes Soul pieces leave to avoid being damaged. Other times a Soul piece will leave during or after a trauma with a bulk of the damage to protect us from being destroyed by it. In either instance the Soul piece will wait for the appropriate time to return, usually after we have completed some healing work on ourselves. Many missing Soul fragments may be from past lives. Soul retrieval can be accomplished by meditation or Journeying facilitated by an experienced Shamanic practitioner.
This modality involves the use of sound, sacred smoke and vibrational medicine to induce healing of the physical body, energy centers (chakras) and light body/LEF (Luminous Energy Field).
Shamanic healers have been found in virtually all cultures and throughout the ages. Shamanism is not a religion, nor does it interfere with any religion. Individuals’ beliefs are always fully respected. In South America, shamans are called spiritual lawyers, a perfect way to describe their role as facilitators. Though the attire and customs vary from culture to culture, the basic work shamans do has always been the same. Shamans journey to other dimensions to gain insight and healing abilities to support change in your world. They are known to “see with their eyes closed,” and learn things about you that there is no rational way to know. Though shamanic healing works at the level of the soul, no belief is required on your part. What is required is an open loving attitude towards healing oneself.
As healers, Shamans must serve. To learn the knowledge is not enough. We must use our healing capabilities for the good of others and ourselves. Shamans are committed to the art of healing to the people of the community. The practice of these healing traditions is often referred to as energy medicine. The goal of energy medicine is to provide healing to the recipient. The format of a healing is where the shaman applies his or her healing abilities. The knowledge is ancient but it is always growing or evolving. Shamans of today practice energy medicine traditions that have evolved in their effectiveness and practicality.
I have received the Munay-Ki Rites. The Munay-Ki are the nine Empowerment rites of initiation to become a person of wisdom and power who has accepted the stewardship for all creation. These rites transform and upgrade the LEF and are common to all Shamanic traditions. "Munay" means "love and will" and "ki" is the Japanese word for energy, combined to mean: energy of love.
